Horizontal banding

Vertical misalignment or banding

  • Run the Print Caput Alignment utility.

  • Adjust the color settings in your application or in your printer software's Advanced dialog box. For instructions, see Making Advanced settings for Windows or Making Avant-garde settings for Macintosh.
  • Run the Head Cleaning utility. If colors are still incorrect or missing, replace the color ink cartridge. If the trouble persists, supervene upon the blackness ink cartridge. Run across Replacing an Empty Ink Cartridge.

Blurry or smeared printout

  • Make sure that you are using the appropriate printer driver for your printer.
  • Apply only newspaper recommended by EPSON.
  • Make sure that the printer is on a apartment, stable surface that extends beyond the printer base of operations in all directions. The printer volition not operate properly if it is tilted.
  • Make certain that your paper is not damaged, muddy, or also old. Also, make certain that the printable side of the paper is face up in the canvass feeder.

  • Run the Caput Cleaning utility.
  • Run the Print Caput Alignment utility.
  • Adapt the strength of the Color Density in the Newspaper Configuration dialog box. For Windows users, see Adjusting the paper configuration for details. For Macintosh users, meet Adjusting the paper configuration.
  • Adjust the Drying Time per Print Page in the Paper Configuration dialog box. For Windows users, see Adjusting the newspaper configuration for detail. For Macintosh users, encounter Adjusting the newspaper configuration.
  • Load and eject dry out paper several times. If the trouble persists, ink may accept leaked inside the printer, so wipe the inside of the printer with a soft, clean material.

Printer rollers leave unwanted marks on your documents

If the printer rollers go out unwanted marks on your document, utilise the included cleaning pad to clean the rollers.

It may go necessary to clean the printer rollers in the following situations:

  • When you apply paper that is not distributed by EPSON. In this case, information technology takes longer to dry out the ink. Turn off the printer.

Print quality does not improve later on head cleaning

If the quality of your printouts remains poor even after repeatedly cleaning and aligning the print head, ane or some of the ink cartridges may be old or damaged and should be replaced.
